    Agilent GeneSpring GX Version 9.0.2

    Category  Genomics>Gene Expression Analysis/Profiling/Tools

Abstract  Agilent GeneSpring GX is an advanced visualization and
analysis solution designed for use with gene expression data. It allows
you to identify potential targets quickly and reliably. By providing
statistically meaningful results, GeneSpring GX enables prediction of
clinical outcomes and characterization of novel expression patterns.
GeneSpring GX is part of an integrated analysis suite that enables
visual and analytical comparisons between expression, genotyping,
protein, metabolite, and other data types to answer complex biological
    questions. GeneSpring GX features include:

Note: GeneSpring GX 9 is developed on avadis™ from Strand Life
    Sciences Pvt. Ltd.

    1) Its guided workflows step you through a typical analysis with limited
decision points and a clear end goal and result, while advanced
workflows allows an expert user to make use of all the advancements of
    GeneSpring GX.

    2) GeneSpring GX data is organized on a project basis, where data from
different technologies and applications can be combined in a logical
    unit.

    3) Products results are stored in a chronological and hierarchical order,
so it is always clear how the results where derived.

    4) GeneSpring provides a host of advanced statistical tools including t-
tests, 1-way, 2-way and 3-way ANOVA tests, post-hoc tests, and class
    prediction tools.

    5) GeneSpring lets you uncover the most abundant patterns in your
gene expression data and understand how those patterns are related
using methods such as gene and experiment trees, Self-Organizing
Maps (SOMs), k-means, and Principal Components Analysis (PCA).

    6) GeneSpring GX's world class classification algorithms, which include
Support Vector Machines (SVM), neural networks (NN) and Bayesian
statistics use training set data to find clinically predictive expression
patterns and help you determine which genes are of greatest predictive
    value.

    7) Product helps you to quickly visualize your expression data using a
wide range of graphical displays such as scatter plots, volcano plots,
histograms, box plots, 2D dendrograms, chromosome maps and table
    views.

    8) GeneSpring GX lets you analyze data from a wide variety of vendors,
such as Agilent, Affymetrix and Illumina expression analysis systems, or
choose a simple wizard that can import all types of expression data.

    9) Programmers can make use of the documented Jython scripting
language to extend GeneSpring GX's functionality. The scripting
enables incorporation of third-party applications such as BioConductor,
    SAS, MATLAB and R algorithms.

    10) Hypothesize, test, refine, and re-test. GeneSpring GX helps you find
the strongest correlations between experimental parameters and gene
    expression profiles.

    11) GeneSpring GX offers data quality evaluation and provides reliable
estimates of expression measurement precision, even if replicate
sample data are limited. Its global error model is widely applicable and
independent of measurement technologies. Product also includes 16
    normalization setups. And more.

    System Requirements

GeneSpring GX is a Java application, which allows the program to run
on a wide variety of operating systems. In theory, GeneSpring GX can
